While many cosmetic and toiletry products are still traditionally produced in rigid or semi-rigid containers, the growth in demand for single portion packs, for both convenience and cost controls, has led to more and more of these products using formats such as the sachet to meet these requirements.
For example hotels can offer single use packs in the bathroom which avoids waste and eases disposal. And of course the convenience of carrying around wet wipes or small packs of tissues is almost taken for granted.
As more and more cosmetics contain bio-sensitive ingredients it is also necessary to provide the additional barrier controls of a flexible secondary over-wrap. Likewise, many lower cost items, such as toothpaste, are offered in multipacks which require a shrink or tight wrap.
